Installing Kodi on Ubuntu 17.04

  1.  Add these packages to /etc/apt/sources.list file

  2. # kodi repos
    # starting with debian jessie, debian provides kodi via its backports repository
    # remember: those packages are not supported by team kodi
    deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-backports main

  3. Update APT and install kodi
    sudo apt-get update 
     
    Ignore this error message: 
    Reading package lists...
    DoneW: GPG error: http://cdn-fastly.deb.debian.org/debian 
    jessie-backports InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be 
    verified because the public key is not available:
